Andries has vast experience in commercial law having provided advisory services in competition law, prospecting and mining, company law and contract management. He has also played a pivotal role in training other judicial officers.
He received his Mining Law Certificate from Wits University allowing vast understanding about law, also acquiring his Programme in Competition Law Certificate from Pretoria University.
Andries holds a B-Proc from the University of South Africa, a Certificate in Commercial Law Practice from the Black Lawyers Association and was appointed as Commissioner for Small Claims Court by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development

Jaco Loots
B.Proc (UP), Various Executive Management Course
Jaco finished his B.Proc at the University of Pretoria in 1996. He has undertaken various executive management courses at Wits Business School and Harvard Business School.
Jaco has served in various senior government positions in the South African Government inter alia in the Department of Public Enterprises, Transport and Provincial Treasury. He served on various restructuring – and Presidential committees during his time in government.
For the past 10 years, Jaco has been extensively involved in project management and transaction structuring for large-scale infrastructure projects in South Africa and the rest of Africa for and on behalf of multi-national organisations and governments. Jaco’s main focus is on corporate restructuring/turn-around and project finance.

Tania Loots
Tania is our in-house mediator assisting clients with settlement agreements as well as parenting plans, further to her role as mediator, Tania is also our Practice Manager.

Inge Bares
Inge is one of the directors of Apex Legacy Immigration which is an extension of Phosa Loots Inc Attorneys. Apex Legacy Immigration offers services with regards to immigration, permanent residency through property investments, legal services and tourism.
Variola du Toit
With more than 15 years experience in Litigation and Collections, Variola joined our team in June 2021. She is focused on client service and assists with the day-to-day administration of the associates as well as Senior Associates.
Phinah Modiba
Ms Phinah Modiba obtained a certificate in Public Resource Management at Tshwane University of Technology and a Certificate in Legal Secretary and English Business through Leads Short Courses. She has worked in a variety of law firms as a receptionist, general administrator and legal secretary. She is a seasoned legal secretary with years of experience. She provides invaluable support to various legal departments.
Carla Minnie-Van Tonder
Carla has more than 15 years experience in various fields in the law industry and obtained her Paralegal qualification in 2014.
Carla has chosen Debt Collection as her field of expertise to help the industry evolve more efficiently.
She is also passionate about Compliance and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Her professional journey is marked by a resolute dedication to the intricacies of compliance, where her focus is a guiding principle in navigating the complex regulatory landscape and ensuring organizational adherence to the highest standards.

Cobus Loots
Bachelor of Laws – University of Pretoria
Cobus began his journey at Phosa Loots Inc in 2020 as an intern assisting the firms various employees in clerical and legal work. After finishing his LLB at the University of Pretoria in 2023 he joined our team as a candidate attorney.
He now assists our senior associates and directors on a daily basis with drafting of legal documents, court filing and general office work.
He has a keen interest in commercial and finance law and is a great and valued asset to the team.
Rirhandzu Honwana

Rirhandzu has interest in criminal law, constitutional law and human rights law. She wishes to turn these interests into useful skills that will allow her to assist clients. Since the beginning of her Candidacy she has been exposed to different aspects of the legal field which include Administration of Estates, Civil law, Labour law and Criminal law.
Ruvesh Govender

Ruvesh began his internship with Phosa Loots Inc in 2022 during which time he obtained his LLB degree in 2022 at the University of Pretoria. He completed his law school and is currently completing his Practical Vocational Training with Phosa Loots Inc. Ruvesh is a valued, reliable, and steadfast member of our firm. He is a great asset and always presentable. Ruvesh assists our Senior Associates on a daily basis with drafting of legal documents, filing at court, and the service of documents.
Emaka Afrika
Bachelor of Laws – University of Johannesburg – 2023
Emaka Afrika completed his LLB degree at the University of Johannesburg in 2023. Emaka has an interest in Corporate Law and is currently completing his LLM in Corporate law at UNISA. He has been exposed to various aspects of the legal field during his candidacy such as civil law, criminal law, administration of estates and drafting of contracts.
Danelle Davel

With years of experience in specialized collections, Danelle has honed her skills in navigating complex legal landscapes and ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations.
Currently serving as a Candidate Attorney, Danelle is actively involved in assisting with Litigation alternative dispute resolution.
